It's 4 AM & I'm still preparing for tomorrow. These silent moments when it's just me, my thoughts & God-- sometimes they are hard manage without tears dripping into the dishwater. For some reason, this is when hurts seem to surface & I replay slights from others or my own failures over & over as if on repeat. I think I'm just tired; not from lack of sleep, though that may be a factor-- but just tired of life as it is. This is the song rolling around in my head & heart; this is my prayer~

It's really not even fair to call it work. Whew! I finally earned that Speech Language Pathologist degree, license and all. A 2nd Masters is under the belt. EARN being the key word. Thank you, Lord! HA! I live for God and love this journey despite rough terrain at times. I love where it has taken me and I'm learning to be content back home again. Remember: you cannot drive with your eyeballs glued to the rear view mirror- it is only for glancing back!

Dancing with our Maker
Sooner or later you figure out life is constructed specifically and brilliantly to squeeze a man into association with the Owner of heaven. It is a struggle, with labor pains and thorny landscape, bloody hands and sweaty brow, head in hands, moments of severe loneliness and questioning, moments of ache and desire. Carmen: Have you heard Bobbie Shoemake's "My Prayer" song? It's a good one--a lifter up of the head--but not perhaps in the way one might think.
